IN-TANK INTEGRAL FILTERS

Compact Filter

Description

The Compact Filter is used where there is little room and/or no height difference between the inlet and outlet pipes.

The smallest rainwater filter for installation inside small to medium size rainwater tanks.

The Compact Filter is ideally suited for use in conjunction with an Overflow Siphon Duo and the Calmed Inlet. The filtered water flows into the storage tank through the calmed inlet. A small amount of water carries debris and particles through the filter sieve to the overflow outlet - waste stream of the tank. In the event of heavy loading, the installation of a backwashing device is possible. The filter cartridge consists of a smooth stainless steel mesh within the plastic housing.

Low maintenance, depending on the amount of debris and particle loading.

Relative connection capacity for roof areas up to 1600 ft².

All connections are 4-inch. Adaptors are available if necessary.

No height difference between inlet and outlet pipes.

Mesh size of filter cartridge 0.7 x 1.7 mm (0.03 x 0.07-inches).

How it works

  1. Rainwater is led onto the filter cartridge.
  2. The filter cartridge cleans the rainwater. The cleaned rainwater is led through the calmed flow inlet into the rainwater tank.
  3. Because of the smooth surface structure of the filter the dirt is quickly rinsed away into the sewer.

Advice:

Due to the horizontal position of the filter cartridge, the filter gets dirtier more rapidly as a filter cartridge with steep inclination. We therefore recommend using the Backwashing Device and periodic cleaning with detergent and brush in order to degrease the filter sieve. Pollen contains grease thus the water rolls off on the surface.

Sinus Filter

Description

Rainwater filter for installation within small to medium sized rainwater tanks. Ideal for conversion of existing tanks, because the Sinus Filter has no height difference between rainwater inlet and outlet to the waste water sewer. The filter cartridge lies diagonally in the housing, therefore even more water can be saved in comparison to conventional filters. The filter cartridge consists of a smooth stainless steel mesh within the plastic housing.

The Sinus Filter is ideally suited for use in conjunction with an Overflow Siphon Duo and the Calmed Inlet. The filtered water flows into the storage tank through the calmed inlet. A small amount of water carries debris and particles through the filter sieve to the overflow outlet -waste stream of the tank. In the event of heavy loading, the installation of a backwashing device is possible.

Low maintenance requirement, depending on the amount of debris and particle loading.

Connection capacity for roof areas up to 1,600 ft².

Height difference of 0 mm between rainwater inlet and wastewater outlet.

Mesh size of filter cartridge 0.7 x 1.7 mm (0.03 x 0.07-inches).

How it works

  1. Rainwater is led onto the filter cartridge and because of its inclination the water is slowed down.
  2. Because of the smooth surface structure of the filter the dirt is quickly rinsed away into the sewer.
  3. The cleaned rainwater is led through the plastic netting into the tank.

Advice:

Due to the horizontal position of the filter cartridge, the filter gets dirtier more rapidly as a filter cartridge with steep inclination. We therefore recommend using the Backwashing Device and periodic cleaning with detergent and brush in order to degrease the filter netting. Pollen contains grease thus the water rolls off on the surface.

Zisternen Filter

Description

Rainwater filter for installation in small to medium sized rainwater tanks. Two step cleaning system. The first coarse filter mesh protects the second, finer mesh by removing larger leaves and particles.

The Zisternen Filter is ideally suited for use in conjunction with an Overflow Siphon Duo and Calmed Inlet. The filtered water flows into the storage tank through the calmed inlet. A small amount of water moves debris and particles into the overflow outlet of the tank. In the event of heavy loading, the installation of a backwashing device is possible.

Low maintenance requirement, depending on the amount of debris and particle loading.

Connection capacity for roof areas up to 1,600 ft².

All connections 4-inch. Adaptors are available if necessary.

Height difference of 117 mm (4.6 Inches) between rainwater inlet and wastewater outlet.

Mesh size of filter cartridge 0.7 x 1.7 mm (0.03 x 0.07-inches).

How it works

  1. Rainwater is led onto the first filtration step.
  2. Coarse and larger dirt particles are led away to the sewer.
  3. The pre-filtered rainwater, having passed the primary filter, reaches the second and finer filter. From here finer dirt passes to waste, clean water to the tank.
  4. The cleaned rainwater is led through a calmed flow inlet into the rainwater tank.
  5. Due to the steep inclination of the fine filter and its smooth surface structure the dirt is quickly cleaned away into the sewer.

Volume Filter VF-1

Description

Self cleaning rainwater filter for installation in a rainwater tank or in the ground before the tank. Two step cleaning system, allows high level of filtering efficiency, independent of flow rate.

The steep inclination of the filter cartridge allows debris and dirt to be continuously carried away to the outlet pipe - waste stream.

Low maintenance requirement; the filter insert is easily removed for inspection and cleaning and does not have to be changed.

Optional debris retention basket can be supplied.

Relative connection capacity for roof areas up to 3,500 ft².

Height difference between inlet and outlet just 300 mm (11.8 Inches).

Depending on the amount of debris loading, the filter only has to be inspected 1 – 2 times during the year. During inspection cleaning may be necessary.

How it works

  1. As water arrives the level builds up and is equally distributed across the cascade.
  2. Pre cleaning through the cascades. Largest dirt particles are led across the primary filter cascades directly to the sewer.
  3. Pre filtered water then flows over the secondary filter sieve (mesh size 0.65 mm or 0.03 Inches). Due to the special mesh structure of the sieve, any dirt washes directly into the sewer which means the filter is self cleaning, with very low maintenance.
  4. Cleaned water flows to the cistern.
  5. Dirt goes to the sewer.

Technical Data

Filter according to DIN 1989-2, Type C

Connection inlet: 2 x 4-inch

Volume Filter VF-1 Combo

Description

Self cleaning rainwater filter for installation inside or on top of the tank. The VF-1 Combo has the cleaned water outlet at the bottom of the filter. Debris and dirt are carried away through the outlet pipe on the side of the filter housing. The bottom cleaned water outlet position makes installing the filter in tanks very easy and practical. Where used before the tank, the VF-1 Combo also gives a high degree of flexibility to the angle of direction of the cleaned water outlet pipe, feeding to the rainwater storage tank. The VF-1 Combo can also be fitted directly to the top surface of the rainwater tank, using a seal.

Same functionality as Volume Filter VF-1. The steep inclination of the filter cartridge allows debris and dirt to be continuously carried away to the outlet pipe - waste stream.

Relative connection capacity for roof areas up to 3,500 ft².

Height difference between inlet and waste stream outlet: 300 mm (11.8 Inches).

Twin Filter

Description

Rainwater for larger roof areas. The Twin Filter can be installed in a separate manhole or vault or in a frost-protected area inside on the storage tank wall.

Two step cleaning system, with high level of filtering efficiency, independent of flow rate. Due to the steep inclination of the filter cartridge the debris and dirt are continuously carried away through the outlet pipe - waste stream. The cleaned water is conveyed into the storage tank.

Connection capacity for roof areas up to 7,500 ft². A bypass-installation is also available for larger roof areas.

Connections: 2 tank inlets (4-inch & 6-inch), 2 outlets to tank (4-inch & 6-inch), 2 outlets to waste stream (4-inch & 6-inch)

Depending on the amount of debris loading, the filter only has to be inspected 1 – 2 times during the year. During inspection cleaning may be necessary.

How it works

  1. As water arrives the level builds up and is equally distributed across the two cascades.
  2. Pre cleaning through the cascades. Largest dirt particles are led across the primary filter cascades directly to the sewer.
  3. Pre filtered water then flows over the secondary filter sieve (mesh size 0.65 mm or 0.03 Inches). Due to the special mesh structure of the sieve, any dirt washes directly into the sewer.
  4. The cleaned water is being absorbed in the middle tank and directed through one or the two connections into the storage.
  5. Dirt goes to the sewer through the shaft.
