DOWNPIPE FILTERS

Leaf Separator

Description

If you have a heavy leaf loading, you should select a Leaf Separator. It sorts out leaves, debris and larger dirt particles, and ejects them from the filter's side. The green lid can be shut in winter conditions. The leaf separator unit is also ideal integrated into larger Rainwater Harvesting Systems or for systems that convey the filtered water to ponds or other on-site water closets.

Advantage: No more blocked rainwater gutters and gullies. Accumulating leaves and particles are continuously filtered out.

The unit installs within the down pipe; if necessary, adapters and reduction sets are available.

Relative connection capacity for roof areas up to 750 square feet.

How it works

  1. The larger dirt is filtered out of the rainwater by the filter ribs.
  2. Leaves and dirt are simply ejected from the filter.
  3. Cleaned rainwater passes through the downpipe.

Technical Data

Available in grey and brown.

Material: Polyethylene

Guiding plates can be removed.

Distance filter ribs: ca. 5mm (0.20 – Inches)

Weight: 0.4 kg (0.9 lbs)

Filter Collector

Description

The Filter Collector filters and collects rainwater for rain barrels or smaller storage tanks. It is made of high quality durable plastic available in grey, black, white and brown.

The Filter Collector conveys clean water to the storage tank with high efficiency under normal rainfall (85 to 95%). The filter can act as the overflow outlet for the tank once filled.

The unit has 2 positions (open or closed) one which allows side discharge of filtered rainwater.

Integrated filter sieve. The mesh is made of stainless steel mesh size 0.7 x 1.7mm (0.03 x 0.07-inches).

Relative connection capacity for roof areas up to 750 square feet.

For installation in existing downpipes at 68mm and 110mm (2.7 and 4-inches).

Easy installation in round or rectangular down pipes.

The unit installs within the down pipe; if necessary, adapters and reduction sets are available.

How it works

  1. Rainwater is channeled from the filter entrance to the sieve cartridge.
  2. Dirt is rinsed to the sides, and to waste.
  3. Cleaned water is led through the cartridge outlet channel to storage.
  4. Settings for winter and summer conditions. Twist 180° to remove cartridge filter, no need to demount filter body. The filter cartridge can be cleaned easily with detergent and a brush.

Technical Data

Reduction at diam. 68 – 100 mm (2.7 – 4 – Inches).

Connector for downpipes diam. 110 mm (4.3 – Inches).

Outlet connection at diam. 75 mm (3 – Inches).

Adapter for connection diam. 50 mm / 32 mm (2 / 1. 3 – Inches).

Guiding plates.

Stainless Steel filter mesh.

Settings for open/closed conditions.

Rainus

Description

Rainus is a two step filter with a primary cascade that filters out large and coarse particles like leaves and moss. Below the primary filter is a finer secondary filter. All debris and particles are ejected from the front of the filter.

Simple installation and maintenance that is ideal for system retrofits or newly constructed systems that do not desire underground or in-tank filtration.

The unit is for installation in the lower section of the downpipe located where it is easy to monitor and clean. To clean, simply slide the filter unit out and brush off any dirt. The Rainus can be installed in down pipes with the following diameters: 100 mm, 100 mm or 80 mm (4.3-inch, 3.9-inch, & 3.1-inch). Adapters and reduction sets are available.

We recommend installing the filter with a small gravel soak away or to a ground area sloping away from the building. Relative connection capacity for roof areas up to 1,100 square feet.

How it works

  1. The falling rainwater’s energy is attenuated by baffles in the upper filter housing.
  2. Rainwater is then calmed in a small sump.
  3. Water then weirs over the sump lip, and is distributed evenly across the primary cascade, the first cleaning step.
  4. The primary cascade filters out any large or coarse particles, such as leaves and moss.
  5. Below and behind the primary cascade is a finer secondary filter.
  6. Fine and coarse particles are ejected from the front of the filter.
  7. Cleaned rainwater flows out of the filter outlet to a storage tank or to the point of use or disposal system.

Technical Data

Installation in standpipes at diam. 80 or 110 mm (3.1 or 4.3 – Inches). The upper connection can accept metal downpipes of 80 and 100 (3.1 or 4 Inches).

The filter is aprox. 50.5 cm high and 17 cm wide (20 Inches high and 6.7 Inches wide). It needs very little space behind it and altogether it is just 22 cm (8.7 Inches) deep.

Housing material: ABS

Filter sieve: Stainless steel 1.403

Mesh size 0.7 x 1. mm (0.03 x 0.07 - Inches).

Weight: 2.0 kg (4.4 lbs)
